Halfway to ONE!

Our sweet baby girl is halfway to one already!! The second child experience has been so different for me when it comes to milestones and monthly updates. I always got so sad every time Barrett was a month older, but I celebrate with Zoey. I didn't know what to think of it at first, but I've finally figured out it's because I know now that it just gets better and better :) We are loving every precious moment with this baby girl because in the blink of an eye she will be turning four soon like her big brother.

Zoey is definitely a bright light in our family. She always has a smile on her face and can cheer us all up in an instant. Babies are hard, but this little girl makes the hard moments way better than they should be. The only time she cries is when she's tired or hungry. She will whine for her paci through the night, but hopefully she will figure out how to get it herself soon. She's strong and scooting around (backwards). She is 'blowing raspberries' already which apparently is an indicator of early language development :) I really hope she is an early talker like Bear because it was so fun to teach him new words.

Happy half birthday, Zingo Zoey! Your sweet soul has already made such an impact on us all. You've completed our family, given us more happiness than we deserve, and we couldn't love you more.

Weight: ?
Height: ?
Head Circumference: ?
Eye color: They are looking more and more like big brother's brown eyes
Clothes: Six months
Diapers: size three
Milestones: Blowing raspberries and scooting backwards. She wants to crawl forward so badly!
Sleeping: She is still not sleeping through the night, but it could be worse. At this point, we feed her one time during the night, sometimes two. She wakes up a lot wanting her paci. We moved her into her crib so she is still getting used to sleeping flat and in her own room. She slept in her rocknplay up until a week before she turned six months. It was getting dangerous since she could already roll on her tummy at three months....we also wanted our bedroom back to ourselves :) She will sleep 4-5 hour stretches but not really anything longer without waking up for her paci or a bottle. I REALLY hope the seven month update sounds a lot different!
Eating: Exclusively on Nutramigen formula. I am waiting a few days after her six month vaccines to start her solids. She is very interested in our food and tries to get it every time she's around it, so I think she is ready!
Activities: She still likes her play mat and will hold onto the little birds and study them. She loves to flip on her tummy and scoot backwards around the living room. I always find the play gym mobile flipped over and her on the wood floors scooting around.
Favorite things: She is very interested in music like Barrett. I occasionally put on cartoons or anything on tv so I can have a moment to get something done (I NEVER did this with Barrett at this age and I don't feel guilty at all for being more laid back :)) Her favorite is definitely Bubble Guppies. When they sing, she pays full attention and will even giggle and jump around more in her jumperoo. It's seriously cute! The jumperoo has been both of our favorite things, because she will play and jump in that thing for over an hour sometimes. Barrett stayed in it for max 10 minutes, so it's always a shock when she entertains herself. Her favorite thing has to be just getting attention from someone. She's happy with anyone and will giggle and smile at anyone who wants to chat :) She's ticklish everywhere and loves to be sang to and to play peek-a-boo. I call her my cheeky girl and she always lights up if she hears me singing her 'cheeky cheek' song. Her favorite favorite thing in the whole world is definitely her big brother, Barrett! There is no hesitation that he's the favorite. She laughs so hard when he's entertaining her. Watching them interact is heaven on Earth.

Look at those cheeks!!!
