Sophie is six!

My little Sophie turned six years old on March 14th! She has been with me all through college, lived in three different towns, 3 different apartments, a house, and joined me in countless five hour car rides. I love her more than words can describe! Steven is totally in love with her too and we think of her as our first child. She is very independent for a shih-tzu and takes her time to get comfortable around people, but when she decides you are worth her time she is the sweetest dog in the world. We get her a new toy for her birthday every year and I have never seen a dog appreciate new toys the way she does. She will dig through her toy box and pick out her new toys for the first few weeks. She also has favorite toys that she likes to spread around our house. Here is her birthday picture for this year (she was asleep with her new toy by the time I decided to take it).
