Day Two, The Luau

The second day of our trip was one of my favorite days. Everyone went out on a catamaran to snorkel except for us. There was a part of me that wanted to go, but we knew it would end up being more work than fun with B & Z. We slept in then got ready for the beach. After sleeping in and eating a delicious breakfast in our room we didn't get to the beach until around noon. Apparently, the best beach time is before noon because of the wind. An umbrella flew out of the sand, so all of them had to be taken down right when we got there. With Zoey being so young, we couldn't stay without the cover so back to the room we went. (Also, B was already starting to throw a fit because the sand was too hot)

We got both kids down for naps and I got everything organized. I actually laid on our balcony for a little while and started a new book...this was a treat I rarely get to have! My favorite part of this day and maybe my favorite thing of the whole trip was our luau. Going to a luau was a must for me because it is a unique part of Hawaiian culture. We arrived on the beach front lawn at our hotel to Mai Tais, fresh gardenia leis, and a band playing Hawaiian music. This night felt like a dream, and everyone had the best time!
