Weight: Will update after check-up
Height:
Eye color: Still different colors depending on the light.
Clothes: Still wearing mostly 3-6 months. Starting to fit into nine month clothes. He will fit in a lot of nine month clothes lengthwise, but they are baggy on his skinny little self.
Diapers: Size three
Milestones: He is trying so hard to crawl. He looks like he is swimming when we put things in front of him that he wants. He is really good with his hands now also. He will put his paci in his mouth now and move toys from hand to hand. The other morning he was laying in his crib just talking away and he was saying "goo goo and da da". I couldn't believe it because I say mama and dada to him everyday and he just smiles at me and makes his own little sounds, so I guess he is trying out new words while I'm not around.
Sleeping: Barrett is mostly sleeping through the night now. He has been going to bed between 7-8 and waking up between 6-7. He has been doing this for about three weeks now and it's been wonderful! He has still had about four or five bad nights where he will wake up around midnight or 1 AND around 4-5am and will just fuss and fuss and not go back to sleep unless I feed him and let him fall asleep in my arms. Sometimes Steven will rub his back slowly and he will go back to sleep (and it has to be daddy's hands...if he sees me I have to pick him up. I think he can tell when I try to do daddy's trick and he will not have it!). I am not a morning person at all no matter how much sleep I get so 6:00 am is never going to be a good hour for me to wake up (it was just as hard when I was getting up that early for school/work), but the best part is that after he eats he will go back to sleep and nap for about an hour, sometimes two hours! I put him in bed with us and he snuggles with me...it's one of my favorite times of the day. We are getting closer to officially moving him upstairs! It will be such a bittersweet day!
Eating: We have given him rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and carrots. He wasn't a fan of rice cereal so we only gave that to him a couple of times, but he really liked the sweet potatoes and carrots. He wasn't so sure about the spoon, but he will get used to it. He has his first diaper rash ever right now and apparently some foods can cause this when you first introduce them. We are going to hold off on carrots for a little while because he got terrible diaper rash the day after he tried them. He doesn't act like it bothers him, but it sure does look painful!
Activities: He loves when I sing to him. I sing songs everyday and he always gets a little smile on his face. We are now giving him a bath every night now that he is rolling all over the floor and is more active. He is the most peaceful when he's in his tub. It's such a relaxing (and super adorable) part of our day. He loves his soft blocks that were given to him for Christmas, his light-up baby "ipad", chewing on anything and everything, his jumperoo, and of course, moose. He is still pretty into his play mat mobile, but now that he is moving around so much he will roll around and make his way over to other toys. One thing he has started doing to get attention is fake coughing. In fact, just a few minutes ago, Steven was holding him close to me and he started coughing and I looked up and he was looking right at me. When I acknowledged him, he started smiling and laughing! What a stinker! We are in for it!
Favorite things: Barrett is happiest when both Steven and I are home and playing with him. At night, we play this game where one of us holds him and the other will run up and tickle him and he LOVES it! We all laugh so much! One of these days I need to get a video of this because it's such a special moment for us. My favorite new thing is when Barrett rolls over in the morning and snuggles up to me while he naps. Barrett's favorite thing is probably soaking in the tub with his rubber ducky.

Hahaha How funny that it has to be daddy's hands that rub his back, that's sweet. And he is growing up so fast! I love seeing pictures of him, he is so happy and handsome. I laughed out loud at him fake coughing and then grinning when you look at him, post a video of that! And of anything else, I love to see him!
