Three Year Well Visit

Barrett had a wonderful well visit this year, and we left feeling so proud of our big three-year-old. He wanted to read books in the waiting room, so he picked a cute Toy Story book and sat in Steven's lap. Once we were called back he stepped on the scale, but wanted me to hold his hand, which totally melted my heart. This was the first visit where his height was measured while standing up. His weight was around 41% and height 52%, so he's evened out this year.

Once Dr. Goff came in, he immediately began asking Barrett all kinds of questions. Barrett is very social and friendly and loved talking to the doctor. He said he was impressed with his level of communication and said he normally has trouble having those conversations with four-year-olds. Barrett was laughing at his jokes and even randomly told him that he was going to have a baby sister. Dr. Goff asked him if he got his ears at Target and Barrett thought this was hilarious! Now he is telling people he got his ears at Target and he'll never forget it. Once the visit was over, we decided to get him a flu vaccine for the first time. He sat in my lap and didn't even cry! We went straight to Beth Marie's to get ice cream and let him stick his feet in the fountain outside. Even though he ended up throwing a fit when we left, he sure has come along way with his meltdowns ;)
