Easter 2015

Barrett had his first school Easter egg hunt this year and it was very sweet. He was so excited I came he hardly took his eyes off me the whole time I was there, and it completely melted my heart. When the hunt began, all the kids took off except for Barrett. He was just so happy that Mommy was at school and being around his friends he didn't really care about picking up eggs. After some encouragement he picked up a few, but he was happy just watching everyone else. He ended up with four eggs and a hilarious, sneaky little girl stole all but one of his eggs in the end. I love that he is so strong willed, yet incredibly sweet at the same time.

We took Barrett to see the Easter bunny last minute and he couldn't get enough! We had to wait in line for about 20 minutes and he was like a kid in a candy store when it was finally his turn. He sat in his lap at first, asked if he could wear his sunglasses for the pictures, then asked if he could sit beside him instead of on his lap. What a ham!

On Easter Sunday, we went to the church I grew up in with all of my family, then spent the day at my Gran's house. All the cousins were there this year, and even though it was wet and rainy, the kids still got to hunt eggs and had fun spending time together. Barrett had a little more interest in hunting eggs this time, but Mommy and Daddy helped ;)
