The Walkers: 27

My birthday was full of celebration and all of my favorite things: food, family, friends and fun! My sister came over early the day before my birthday so Steven and I could go out since he had to work on my actual birthday. She had a pizza and movie night with our boys while we headed to Grapevine. We shopped and ate Mexican food at an awesome restaurant! We had the best time and cannot wait to go back! We were planning on staying out and doing something else, but we are true homebodies and came home pretty early. We stopped to buy a bottle of wine and came home to snuggle and watch Orphan Black. It really was a perfect night!

My sister had the family over to her house on my actual birthday. We had delicious food and lots of family time. It was wonderful and I actually felt a lot of nostalgia while sitting around her table with our little family. I can't remember the last time our family of five were sitting around the same, small table and it brought back so many happy memories of my childhood. We ate dinner together every night growing up and played games all the time. We played Family Feud on our 90s computer and monopoly was dominated by my entrepreneur brother. I would give anything to go back to those times and soak in every moment. I can see it like a movie in my head. My mom cooking and cleaning, my dad being goofy dancing in his tall white socks, my sister reading a book, my brother counting his money, and me just trying to figure everyone out. Not much has changed :) I love my family and am very thankful to have celebrated my birthday with them.

Too much cookie cake and icing. He literally had pink poop the next day!

I asked Remi if we could take a selfie and he responded with "I not know what selfie is" I laughed so hard! Once I showed him, he couldn't get enough and wanted to take more and more :) I love this special little boy!
