20 Months!

I cannot believe I have an almost two year old! I wasn't going to do anymore monthly updates, but I think I will want to look back and remember how he was at this stage because he seems to change and learn something new every day. My precious Bear Bear at around 20 months...

He is wearing 18-24 months in most things, but still needs 12-18 for pants/shorts. Size 5 shoe barely fits anymore. We have bought a few size 6. We have also moved to size 5 diapers. He is still a pretty small little dude.

He started daycare a couple of weeks ago (updates on that coming soon). It's going way better now than expected.

He is sleeping from around 9:00-8:30 give or take. He sleeps with a whole gang of stuffed animals and has a few new favorites. Glow worm is still a must have and he has adopted a light up dinosaur that Gran bought him a long time ago. It shines stars all over his room when his lights are turned off and he loves it. He also got an animal from his Na that is supposed to be a dog named "Carlisle", but he renamed it Olaf. I find this hilarious because Olaf is the Snowman from Frozen and it really does look like the snowman. He is so observant!

His favorite movies are Lorax, Despicable Me, and Frozen. He will randomly repeat the characters throughout the movies. He LOVES music and will try to sing the songs in these movies. His favorite songs that come on the radio are John Legend's All of Me, and Pharell's Happy. Just last night, he started singing Happy out of nowhere while he was eating dinner.

Eating is still one of his most enjoyable activities. His favorite foods are applesauce, peas, macaroni and cheese, cereal, pizza, cheese, blueberries, bananas, crackers, rice, and avocado. He ate ice cream for the first time the other day at a mommy/son lunch date. I have tried to give him some before and he wouldn't eat it at all. I took him to Beth Marie's and ordered one scoop of cupcake and a scoop of chocolate chip and it was a success. He would throw in a handful of mac-n-cheese every few bites though :)
Recently, he has started loving pickles! Proud mommy moment for sure :) I can't wait for his first pickles and ice cream experience.

He loves vacuum cleaners, the Ellen show, Quints by Surprise (babies), Mickey Mouse, blocks, books, stuffed animals, playing outside, playing ball with mommy & daddy (this is sort of like fetch with him throwing every once in a while...and he gets so excited about it!), being around people, when anyone comes over to our house, and his cousins and friends. He has a serious love for his cousins and speaks of them every single day. We have pictures up around our house and I've been working on a special project that involves family pictures and he gets so excited to see his family. He recognizes all of them and will tell me whoever he sees. He calls Logan on his fake cell phone, wants to look at Kyndall (Nyndall) on my cell phone, and if you ask him who he loves he will respond with "RoRo!". It overwhelms me with how many love bursts I get for him every day. I love his personality!

Barrett doesn't miss one thing going on around him. He is always involved in conversations around him and repeating EVERYTHING! We call him Barrett the Parrot :)
He can say almost any word we give him and will speak in sentences quite a bit now. Just the other day in the car, I peaked over my seat and we could see each other in his mirror (he is still rear-facing) and he said "I see you!". One of his newer words that has become very clear is "blueberries" and it's adorable! He is and always has been very expressive. He also concentrates very hard throughout the day on whatever he is doing or thinking about. I think he will be a definite extrovert, but he also has some of his daddy's introverted characteristics that I am thankful for- he is cautious and thinks very hard before doing something unfamiliar. I heard him saying Aquaphor in the bathtub the other night and couldn't figure out why he would have that in the tub. I walked in to him staring at his shampoo bottle that has Aquaphor written on the front...I was freaking out because we have never called his shampoo by that name, only the aquaphor we use for diaper rash or moisturizer. How in the world did he know that bottle said Aquaphor? He is smart, curious, dramatic, happy, and loud, and I wouldn't change one thing about him!
