Mardi Gras

The best thing about living in Louisiana is that everything shuts down for Mardi Gras and I had Monday and Tuesday off! Luckily, Steven was off work too so we decided to go to Alexandria to hang out with my dad. We ate at Copeland's, a cajun restaurant, and I got delicious king cake cheesecake...it was seriously the best dessert ever! After dinner, we went bowling and had so much fun! I lost every game but still had a blast. We ended the night with going to see the movie Safe House with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. It was a great night! The next day we went to the Silver Dollar Pawn Shop because it is the pawn shop on the new show Cajun Pawn Stars. I have never been to a pawn shop, but it was so fun seeing all of the little treasures that people have brought in. Even though we didn't celebrate Mardi Gras with beads and beer, we still had a memorable and fun-filled Holiday.
