We are officially living in our new house as of two days ago and WE LOVE IT! It's a total unorganized mess, so I can't imagine how good it's going to feel once everything is organized and decorated. Barrett is at school and I'm taking a break from work to blog about Halloween and Thanksgiving.
This year, we planned a birthday celebration at my mom's for her birthday the night before Halloween. We were going to have all the boys dress up in their costumes because my mom loves when they trick-or-treat. The weather was terrible and dangerous for traveling, so it was just Barrett and Logan. Then Logan had spots all around his mouth and had to leave (he ended up having a bad case of HFM disease). We gave Mom presents, had good food, and still ended up having fun staying in our pajamas.
For Halloween, we got up early to go visit family in our hometown. Barrett was so excited to put his Buzz Lightyear costume on and see everyone. We visited Grandpa first then headed out to my aunt's and uncle's house. We stayed a little later than planned, but Barrett just took a late nap and stayed up a little later with us. We honestly had the best time trick-or-treating with Barrett in my mom's neighborhood. It was just me, Steven, and Barrett and we loved every second. He pretended he was flying like Buzz, and it was so cute watching him go up to all the neighbors saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank-you". He was very excited to get candy, and wanted to open everything up right when he got it. We ended the night watching Nightmare Before Christmas, as always. I still remember a year ago watching this with him and watching him dance around singing "Halloween, Halloween...this is Halloween". He sang again this year, then afterwards wanted to watch Paw Patrol. Our last Halloween as a family of three was simple and sweet :)
