Today was a glorious day of doing absolutely nothing! It's been a while since we have had no plans and I actually let myself rest, so I'm feeling refreshed and ready to get back to blogging.
I'm starting with going all the way back to May. May 2015 was full of excitement- both good and bad. DFW metroplex was less than an inch away from beating the wettest month ever recorded! There were countless storms, dangerous flooding in towns all around us, and we were in my mom's closet taking shelter from two close tornados on Mother's Day. Steven had to work on Mother's Day this year, but since we were woken at 6:00 am by tornado sirens and slamming rain against our windows, we celebrated early. After the storm, Steven cooked my mom and I a delicious breakfast that included chocolate chip pancakes and mimosas! This definitely made up for the tornado scares!

| We spent a lot of time outside in the cool weather watching the clouds and letting Barrett play in the rain. |
Barrett had a week long virus of high temps and did not want to be snuggled. He would actually tell me to get out of his room when he woke up from naps with high fever. It was terrible! Once his fever would drop under 102, he was happy and super sweet.
We also celebrated Roen's and Olivia's birthdays and watched Madison graduate from High School. May was full of sweet memories!
