Four Years

Our four year anniversary was right in the middle of our big family vacation. We celebrated as much as we could with 23 people and a toddler, but after our trip we planned a real date night with just us two. We celebrated our first anniversary at Universal Studios, so it was neat to be there again on our four year anniversary. I think we celebrated this anniversary more times than the previous years, but I am always looking for a reason to celebrate! The more celebrations the better! :) I love the life we have together and couldn't ask for a better person to share my life with.

First celebration: Disney World on the balcony of our hotel room at the Grand Floridian. We walked to a delicious restaurant at the hotel and had the best night! This was a last minute thing so we couldn't believe the experience we had. I didn't feel good earlier in the day because roller coasters apparently make me sick now? I did not want to go out, but my mom was watching Barrett and we couldn't pass it up. We had to wait a while for our table so we sat at the bar to have a glass of wine. Our bartender was a wine sommelier and taught us so much about different wines. He picked out the best ones for us to try and by the time we got our table we had already had a great time. Our waitress was the sweetest girl and our food was the best food I had the entire trip! The fireworks show was starting as we were leaving and the balcony of the restaurant had the perfect view. As we were enjoying the fireworks, our waitress ran up to us with two glasses of champagne! She said she had planned on bringing them to us for our anniversary, but we rushed out too soon. How nice to go and find us after we had already left! It was one of those perfect nights that I'll always remember. And we almost didn't go!

The bartender gave us a couple of straws to give to Barrett, but we just had to use them for our champagne :)

The day of our actual anniversary at Universal Studios

At Harry Potter World

Dinner and a movie by the pool at Hardrock Hotel. They played Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!

Once we got home, we had the babysitter come over one night and headed to Grapevine for our favorite kind of date night. Our favorite Mexican food restaurant, Mi Dia from scratch, and Cinema Suites for a movie.

Domino flavored cookie cake...amazing!! I made a baggie full of cookie cake to sneak into the movies and left it at home :(

Happy 4th cheesy pic! I actually asked my mom to come over to take our pic because Steven didn't want me to ask the sitter to take pics lol!

  1. So much in this post made me smile! First of all...you look GORGEOUS! Champagne, fireworks, and Mickey Mouse straws...what more could you ask for? What a perfect night! Harry Potter by the pool also sounds perfect, so jealous. I laughed at the fact that Steven didn't want you to ask the sitter to take pictures so you had your mom come over. I can see him being embarrassed to ask hahaha. I love those black shorts with the lace trim! Where did you get those?? Ohhh cookie cake, yum! So glad y'all were able to celebrate your anniversary in so many ways! Happy 4 years! Also, I like your hair scrunchy like that. I remember one time at Lynwood I told you I liked it like that and you basically said you didn't like it and Steven said, "I think it looks sexy like that!" Random memory lol.
