Our Fun Weekend

I never post about our weekends, but this one really stood out to me as one to remember. We spent Friday evening in Gainesville with Steven's dad. His dog passed away a few days before and we wanted to be there for him because his dogs are everything to him. We all had a great night spending time with Grandpa. Him and Barrett have a special bond and there is nothing better than watching your child interact with someone they love who loves them back just as much. Here are pictures of us playing outside earlier in the day and one with Grandpa.

Steven was off work the whole weekend so we were able to spend some great quality time at home AND we got to go out on a date! We went to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and eat at Cheesecake Factory. Most of the time, if we get to go on a date with just the two of us we go to cinema suites where they serve dinner during the movie, so it was really refreshing to actually sit at a restaurant for as long as we wanted and just talk. We had so much fun that I think we will always plan something with no distractions for part of our date. My mom watched Barrett for us and we came home to him sleeping in her lap. This probably doesn't sound like a big deal but it is a HUGE deal for our little stinker. The only time he has ever just fallen asleep like that is when he had 104+ temperature and had a very scary virus! Needless to say, my mom felt very special and loved. We didn't get any pictures of this night other than the ones I took of the cheesecake we ate while laying in bed.

Sunday night, I went out for a girls night to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays. We had a great time eating burgers, laughing, and being the loudest group in the restaurant. I'm sad we didn't take any pictures!
