11 Months

I cannot believe we will have a one year old in one month! Time has flown by with our little dude. Barrett has really started to transform into a little boy lately and it is hard knowing that he will no longer be a baby very soon. He is full of energy and into EVERYTHING! He is so curious and wants to explore every thing in every room. He will stare at his toys with such a serious face and touch different things with his pointer finger. We are having so much fun at this stage teaching him different things and watching him figure the world out. My daily goal is to make him laugh hysterically, and it usually happens without even trying. He is the happiest, giggliest, sweetest little baby! I love him so much it hurts! This month will be full of soaking up Barrett's last month of being a "baby" and getting ready for his rubber ducky birthday party!

11 month pictures coming soon!!!

.

Age:  11 Months
Weight: ?
Height: ?
Eye color: Mostly brown
Clothes: 9-12 months, He has grown out of all the 6-9 month sizes, but still wears some 9 month clothes.
Diapers: Size four Pampers Cruisers
Milestones: Knows the meaning of words that we say often. When I ask if he's hungry, he will crawl over to me, take his paci out, and start fake chewing. He knows ba ba (bottle), arms up, no, bear chair, and kisses. He will react to all these words usually with a smile or laugh except the word no of course. When we tell him no he immediately stops what he's doing and gives us the funniest look. If he's tired he will get his feelings hurt and cry. He is repeating a few more things this month, but still won't say mama. He basically talks all day long and the more I'm around other babies, the more I realize just how much he talks/yells. I guess he just has a lot to say lol. It's so fun that we are starting to be able to communicate with him. I think he will start walking pretty soon because he has started to stand without holding on to anything.
Sleeping:  Still sleeping from about 6:30-6:30. Napping at 9 and 2. The biggest problem we have is that he will not nap unless he is in his crib. He's napped at my mom's a few times, but anywhere else it's a nightmare trying to get him to sleep. I'm glad he loves his crib though!
Eating: Eating dinner with us now if Steven is off that night. He is still eating mostly baby food. He loves everything we give him. I have started cutting up strawberries for him and he ate them up fast. We have chopped up steamed broccoli and he loves that as well. I hope his good eating habits stick around for the toddler years!
Activities: He still plays with all of his toys, but I'm looking forward to his birthday and changing out some old baby toys to new ones. He has started to like books more this month. We have tried to read him books almost every day, but he lost interest in them for a while. He crawled over to his favorite book, Snuggle Puppy, and started turning pages and looked at me, then got in my lap so I could read it to him. It was the first time he (kind of) asked me to read him a book and I was so excited!
Favorite ThingsBear chair, his blue bear, monkey, Sophie's bed, knocking his monitor off his crib into the floor (he will knock it off then lay down and go to sleep-such a stinker!), eating puffs, bath time, exploring, and getting visitors!
