17 weeks

Today I am 17 weeks and really starting to feel pregnant. This is the first week that my favorite jeans do not fit me comfortably and really none of my clothes feel that great anymore. I still don't have an obvious bump though so I just look like I'm getting chubby. My stomach has been a little sore this week, so I am thinking it is from the baby growing and trying to stretch it out to make more room. Steven is really excited about my belly starting to pooch out more. This weekend we were both off and we stayed at our house in Natchitoches so we were able to sleep in and just spend some good quality time together. He has been touching my belly a lot and talking to the baby. I have no doubts that Steven will be the best dad. We have been together for almost 8 years, and it is so special to see this new side of him as a soon-to-be father. I am very lucky to have him as my husband and best friend.

17 week bump
How far along? 17 weeks
How big is baby?  About the size of an onion.
Total weight gain? Four pounds.
Maternity clothes? Still occasionally wearing maternity clothes. I have worn a couple of maternity tops, but mostly just my regular tops that aren't tight fitting.
Sleep? Good. I always fall asleep on my stomach and end up rolling around through the night, but since my stomach has been sore in the mornings, I have started to avoid sleeping on my stomach.
Best moment of the week? Steven and I bought the baby two new outfits. This was our first time shopping for him!

Food cravings? I've been wanting coffee with something sweet. I have eaten two cupcakes this week from this little cafe downtown called Cane's Break. I have been trying to mostly avoid caffeine so I will have decaf or just have that one cup with caffeine and not have anything else with caffeine.
Food aversions? None. I am always hungry!

Symptoms: No new symptoms.
Mood this week: Happy!
Movement: I have felt a few flutters, but nothing really significant.
What I’m looking forward to: Feeling the baby kick.

What I miss: Nothing.
Next appointment: April 10th
